Journal - The day is June 18th 2012.
Today started off well. Awaking at 6am in the morning, I decided to get a move on. So I went to the piano downstairs to worship and meditate. After playing a couple worship songs I came to write a song of my own. I called it 'a song for jesus'.
"Song for Jesus"
Intro
you are a husband (D, A/C#, G/B, A)
you are a king
you are so many things to me
What can I tell you?
What can I sing?
No words can express, what you mean to me.
Bridge: (G, A, D/F#, G, em, D/A, Asus, A) repeat 2nd time octave above
So with
Arms reaching high,
Crossing heavens sky
Do I come to you?
Yes, I come to you!
With my heart and soul
I give you my all,
I will praise you, Lord,
spoken: all I can say is... (Asus, A)
Chorus -
Holy, (D, D/F#, G, Em7, A)
Holy is the Lamb
Holy,
Holy is the Lamb
Holy is the Lamb (D)
2nd Verse
You are a lover
You are a friend
The love you have, really has no end.
What can I ask you?
What can I see?
Can I tell you, all you are to me?
Bridge, Chorus.
Today, also being Monday is a day to follow Sunday which was such a great day. Yesterday, I enjoyed going to church. I attended Nassau Christian Fellowship on Nassau street, Princeton NJ. It was wonderful. Before church I was singing the song by Matt Redman I think, 10000 reasons for my soul to sing. That was the song for the offeratory that day. Such a gift was to be able to sing that in church.
The message was a continuance of Job. Found out that he had 20 children. What? I know. He was a righteous man, full of integrity to his family. It was great to remember Job 29,30,31 again.
After the service, we had a time of bible study in which we discussed I Thessalonians where Paul had just left Thessalonica and now Timothy is reporting back to him about how things are. In this letter Paul encourages the christians there to keep loving people and resist sexual immorality.
It was such a wonderful time getting to visit with many members of the church, I must have met 30 people in just a couple hours. Many international people invited me to other services they would be attending. A man from India introduced me to his boys.
It was such an uplifting time for me. I also went to Subway with the youth minister and the organist.
The wonderful thing about this morning and afternoon is that i have been thinking of my wife all day. I know that she is traveling probably as I write this. It is trully a blessing to search for gifts for her. I know the greatest gift is just to have her back with me. So I will be writing this journal to keep my heart steady.
Beside these things I am on my way in a few hours to the rehearsal @ 6pm for another run through. We won't be finished till 10pm. So until then I bid you farewell.
- Sincerely,
In his grace,
Samuel
